Job Overview

Comcast is looking for a skilled and driven AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer to support and enhance our infrastructure across both cloud and on-premises environments. This position will involve deploying, automating, optimizing, and supporting modern applications using best-in-class DevOps tools and AWS services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure high performance, security, and cost efficiency.

• Manage Kubernetes clusters and deploy applications using Helm charts.

• Utilize AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, etc., to build scalable systems.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.

• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and other DevOps toolchains.

• Integrate and manage on-premises infrastructure in alignment with cloud-based systems.

• Monitor and manage cloud resource usage to optimize cost and meet operational budgets.

• Maintain Linux-based environments with a focus on reliability and security.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across hybrid cloud setups.

• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and DevOps best practices.

• Implement and improve monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus).

Required Skills

• 4–8 years of experience in DevOps, AWS Cloud Services, and Infrastructure Management.

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes administration and containerization concepts.

• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools.

• Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD automation tools like Jenkins and AWS CodePipeline.

• Strong command over Linux system administration.

• Basic knowledge of cloud cost optimization and resource governance.

• Understanding of cloud security principles including IAM, VPC, and encryption.

• Exposure to monitoring/logging solutions and agile development environments.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
